Wang Xingxing, the founder and CEO of Unitree Robotics, a leading humanoid robot manufacturer in China, provided a measured perspective on the timeline for such a breakthrough in embodied intelligence. Speaking at the World Robot Conference in Beijing on August 20, 2026, Wang predicted that this industry could reach a tipping point akin to the “ChatGPT moment” within the next two to three years. However, he cautioned that under slower development conditions, it might take five to ten years to achieve this milestone.
