Spotify is setting the stage for its next act with a duet of CEOs, as founder Daniel Ek steps into the role of “executive producer” as the company’s new executive chairman. This move elevates Gustav Söderström and Alex Norström to the shared position of co-CEO to direct the company’s performance.
The new directors will take their seats on January 1st. Söderström, the maestro of product and technology, and Norström, the expert in business choreography, have been co-presidents and have already been leading the production of Spotify’s strategic and operational show since 2023.
