Loong Air has inaugurated a new direct flight connection between Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in China and Taichung International Airport in Taiwan. This marks a significant milestone as it is the airline’s inaugural cross-strait service. The newly launched route aims to enhance travel connectivity between southwestern China and central Taiwan.

The service is set to operate twice a week, with flights scheduled on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This addition is anticipated to facilitate greater ease of travel and strengthen the ties between the two regions. Passengers can now look forward to more convenient travel options between Chengdu and Taichung.

With the introduction of the Chengdu route, Taichung International Airport’s network continues to expand, now featuring a total of 31 active or announced routes. This includes 20 regular services and 11 charter routes, highlighting the airport’s growing role as a key hub for air travel in the region.

In addition to Chengdu, Taichung Airport currently offers scheduled cross-strait flights to Nanjing and Qingdao. These connections reflect an ongoing effort to boost accessibility and foster closer relations across the Taiwan Strait. The expansion of routes is expected to benefit travelers, providing them with more choices and flexibility in their travel plans.
