China Airlines has significantly expanded its operations in Japan with the launch of a new daily service connecting Taichung and Okinawa. This development strengthens the airline’s presence in the region and increases its total number of weekly round-trip flights between Taiwan and Japan to over 170. The new route is serviced by an Airbus A321neo, with flight CI310 departing Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and arriving in Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. The return flight, CI311, takes off from Okinawa at 1:40 p.m. and lands in Taichung at 2:10 p.m.
In an effort to further enhance connectivity, China Airlines plans to introduce a second daily service starting August 13. This new addition, flight CI312, will leave Taichung at 3:20 p.m. and reach Okinawa by 6:00 p.m. The corresponding return flight, CI313, is scheduled to depart Okinawa at 7:00 p.m. and arrive back in Taichung at 7:30 p.m. This move is expected to cater to the increasing demand for travel between these two destinations.
With the introduction of these new flights, China Airlines will operate approximately 30 round-trip flights to Okinawa each week. This expansion complements their existing services from Taipei and Kaohsiung, further solidifying the airline’s network between Taiwan and Japan. The increased frequency of flights is aimed at providing more options for both business and leisure travelers, enhancing the overall travel experience.
